Being An Affiliate is Simple!
1. I provide:
- Personalized URL (hyperlink) that you can use as you wish - your URL will track each writer you send to the free video training, and if they enroll in the companion course, you get 40% of their enrollment fee.
- Images you can easily download to use on social media platforms to promote the free video training.
- Text you can use to help you craft your own pitches so you can send emails to your email list.
2. You promote:
- Send emails to your mailing list about the free video training.
- Promote the free video training via your favorite social media platforms.
- Add a link to your website.
- Anything else you'd like to do to get out the word.
- Together we'll be doing a big push in November and December, 2016, but you are welcome to continue promoting the free video training into 2017--if you're happy with your commissions and want to continue pushing for more, go for it!
3. You earn:
- If writers you've signed up for the free video training purchase the companion course, you get 40% of their enrollment fee:
- $59.60 for each writer who pays in full ($149);
- $70.80 for each writer who pays in 3 monthly installments (total of $177).

Here's What We're Offering Writers
1. Free Video Training
This is the video participants see on the landing page for the free video series.
This free video training focuses on helping writers determine once and for all if their writing is really any good so they can stop worrying about whether or not they’re wasting their time, and focus instead on making sure their writing is as good as it can possibly be.
Participants can expect:
- 90-minutes of valuable content over the course of three videos;
- to engage with each video via comments section (I respond to every comment); and
- inspirational emails throughout the video training that ask them to engage with me by answering questions about their own writing life (most do, and I personally respond to every email, often sharing helpful resources and tips to address their unique circumstances).
2. Companion Course

Once writers have progressed through the free video series, they'll be offered a fourth video, which invites them to participate in and provides detailed information about the Revise with Confidence Companion Course, a 3-week online class designed to help them master their ability to see their writing through the objective eyes of an editor; within the course they will engage with their own writing in new ways, putting immediately into practice the methods they're learning.
Interested writers have only 10 days to enroll (they each get their own personalized countdown clock), adding urgency to the offer.
The 3-week course is $149 if they pay in full when they enroll, or $177 if they choose the installment plan (3 payments of $67).

How often can I expect to receive my commission?I’ll pay you at the end of each month via PayPal or check, whichever is more convenient for you. PayPal payments will come through more quickly, and it’s simple to set up an account if you don’t already have one.
NOTE: Participants in the free video training are given the offer to sign up for the companion course 10 days after they first sign up for the free video training.

Do I have to promote the free video series at specific times?
No. I know we all have other priorities for connecting with our writing friends, colleagues and followers, so it’s up to you when you think it’s most appropriate to share this offer. As is mentioned above, we’re doing a big push for the remainder of 2016, but within November and December you’re welcome to promote when you wish. If you’re seeing some good returns and want to continue promoting, you’re welcome to make the offer in 2017 as well.

How can I find out how many of my writing contacts have signed up for the free video series?
Halfway through each month I will send you an email with your statistics, which includes how many people have clicked on your unique link, how many have opted in (signed up for the free video training) and how many have enrolled in the companion course. You’re also welcome to send me an email at any time to ask how things are going.

Do I have to sign some kind of contract to participate, or log-in to an affiliate platform?
No. I like to work as simply as possible, and from a relationship of mutual respect and trust. I have faith that you will do your part as you see fit, and I will do mine. Easy!

Is there any kind of community of affiliate partners? I know a lot of affiliate programs have secret Facebook groups and incentives for those who sell the most.
I decided to work with affiliates one-on-one. While I understand that sometimes incentives provide a sense of healthy competition, some affiliate partners have small (or no) mailing lists, and others have lists of tens of thousands (or more). Additionally, we’re all busy, and yet another group for each of us to monitor and contribute to seems like more than anyone needs. Simplicity is the goal for this program!

Do you guarantee that 5% of those who sign up for the free video training will purchase the course?
I wish I could! That 5% conversion rate has so far come from several early affiliates with whom I’ve worked, and I chose them because I knew the writers they work with would benefit from the free video training and the companion course. A lot depends on who you’re telling about the free training; if they’re writers who aren’t super confident in their ability to write and revise their work, chances are the videos and course will be valuable to them, which means they’ll be more apt to buy.

What kind of writers will find the free video training and companion course beneficial?
Creative writers of fiction and non-fiction. Nearly every writer who has gone on to purchase the online companion course is working on short stories or novels in every genre, and personal essays or memoir. Neither the video training nor the companion course are great for bloggers, business writers, or poets.
